The Philips B0X97U was manufactured in 1959 with a factory spray-painted bakelite case. The radio was designed as a small and affordable second set, suitable for the kitchen or bedroom.
Gary Deacon sir.... Very happy to share U R reply and Thanks Once again, because When my looks are leading about the RADIO SET...then my FRESH COMENT starts automatically.....So glad to REPLY that Really I am very passion about this type of Radio.....Actually I had enjoyed a lot with my MOTHER as a Radio FAN and also I have seen the PHILIPS Radio Set from my childhood at about 1976. One Great thing about the transistor that It's worked wonderful being a second hand set, nearly 15 years above. My father purchased from a Teacher Co-league of their SVV High-School, Tadikonda.
This model in the same red colour was my first radio when I was 11 years old. My love for music and associated equipment never left me. These days I still enjoy a good stereo hifi set and a number of high end tapedecks. I also bought again (for decoration) a nearly identical Philips Box97 radio and spray- painted it in the same colour red. Brings a smile on my face each time I look at it.
Very Very Interesting, Basically I am a RADIO Lover....Amazing PHILIPS
